DIY: Handmade Cards/Relaxation

February 14, 2011 § Leave a comment

So this one is a pretty obvious DIY project- but does it make it less fun? Nope! I went out and bought a bunch of Martha Stewart sale items at the art store this weekend. I got a box full of glitter, blank cards, cute envelopes, half-pearl stickers, and a ton of adorable stamps with monochromatic ink pads– all for $10!

The little pre-cut cards with envelopes would be great for place cards or table numbers. If you have the time, you could also make some simple thank-you cards- which make just about anyone feel special. It’s actually pretty relaxing getting to be creative and play around with a box full of pretty things. So, why not split this activity up into increments- doing a few cards whenever you start to get stressed about all the wedding plans? Turn on a cheesy chick flick too- maybe a glass or wine or some iced tea? This is a time to be a girly girl- do fun type, sprinkle on glitter and get into it!
